چکیده
The present study compared the efficacy of Microscopic Agglutination Test (MAT) with UpL32 and UpL41 recombinant antigen based Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the diagnosis of bovine leptospirosis. The UpL32 and 41 genes were amplified using specific primers and the polymerase chain reaction products (peR) were cloned. The gene inserts from positive recombinant clones were inserted into expression vector and transformed in Escherichia coli DH5il cells. The recombinant UpL32 and 41 proteins were expressed, purified and standardized. The optimum antigen concentration of 100ng of each anti ..;en was used for the screening of serum samples from cattle suspected of leptospirosis. It was found that recombinant antigen ELISA detected more positive cases of illness than MAT. Between the two recombinant antigens ELISA, UpL32 ELISA was able to detect more positives.

Evaluation of the recombinant LipL32 in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the serodiagnosis of bovine leptospirosis.
The recombinant leptospiral protein LipL32 was evaluated for use in the diagnosis of bovine leptospirosis by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (rLipL32 IgG ELISA). The microscopic agglutination test (MAT) of 150 serum samples from cattle suspected of leptospirosis showed that 125 (83.3%) samples had positive reciprocal agglutination titres, which ranged from 100 to 1600. The highest titres were...

Leptospirosis is an important global veterinary health problem caused by spirochetes belonging to the genus Leptospira. Leptospires are ubiquitous in nature, and therefore able to adapt to both the ambient environment and the renal tubules of chronically infected reservoir hosts. Microscopic agglutination test (MAT) remains a specialized test, which is not generally performed in the routine dia...

Methods Retrospective study, between January 2004-June 2014, in one infectious diseases hospital in Bucharest. We included patients with leptospirosis diagnosis at discharge and/or positive serology for leptospirosis. Serological diagnosis of acute leptospirosis was made by microscopic agglutination test using a battery of 17 antigens from international reference strains in one national referen...

The aim of present study was to compare the diagnostic performance of the different Brucella abortus antigen based serological and molecular tests such as Rose Bengal Plate Test (RBPT), indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (I-ELISA) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Out of 89 samples, 44 were positive by I-ELISA, 18 by RBPT and 21 by PCR. Substantial agreement was observed between PCR ...

Leptospirosis in cattle is a worldwide problem associated with abortion, agalactia, still birth and infertility resulting in major economic losses to dairy industry. There is lack of data regarding seroprevalence of bovine leptospirosis in eastern India. So, with the aim to investigate the prevalence of the disease in Odisha and West Bengal state of eastern India, a total of 350 cattle serum sa...
